Goals Update: October

Happy Halloween everyone!

I have to admit, for some reason this year, I am halloweened out already.  Maybe it's because in my neighborhood they have been pimping halloween for weeks.  I guess I'm just ready for October to be over. It's been a long month and I am looking forward to the holiday season.

Here's my obligatory update on my goals.

1. WORK ON MY 101 IN 1,001 LIST - well, I finished one.  I'm going to try to find a few to focus on on November to check a few more things off.

2. SAY "YES" MORE OFTEN - I mean, yes this is happening.  I guess I don't notice it as much.  I try to do things as much as I can.  This last week I feel like I over extended myself and I'm stressing about it.  

3. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE - HA.  I laugh at this one this week.  I've done a good job about not using the money in my savings, so each paycheck I add about $100 without worrying about it.  This has afforded me the expendable income each paycheck to not have to stress about money before the next paycheck AND buy some things for the apartment.  This week I had an impromptu $400 expense for Samson which I took a little bit from my savings account to cover.  That combined with some expenses for my party (food and stuff), I spent more this paycheck than I have in a while.  I should be happy that I am making payments on my credit cards that are more than the minimum.  I'm not spending any more on my cards, AND I am still adding little bits to my savings.  That's WAY more than I can say from a year ago and I am happy about that.

November is going to be a fun month for me.  Leslie is coming to visit this weekend for the Hot Chocolate Run.  There are things going on the next weekend (November 10-11).  There is Thanksgiving and then before I know it, it will be December!
