Lessons Learned

Yesterday was a rough day for me all around.  I was looking forward to just getting home and going to sleep so that I could end the day.

To top it off, I also learned a valuable lesson -

Under no circumstances should I ever just "throw on my Hunter boots for a quick walk with Samson" WITHOUT putting socks on first.  Never, ever again.

Because of this lovely lesson, I am struggling with what shoes to wear that don't make me walk like I'm in severe pain.  This was the best I can do (and it still hurts).

*sweater - Jcrew, jeans - Express, boots - Old Navy

This sweater (I have it in several colors) is probably my new favorite piece that JCrew makes.  Maybe even more than the pencil skirt.  It's an AMAZING sweater - relaxed scoop collar, three quarter sleeves.  So versatile.  I actually like this outfit that I randomly threw together this morning.  Not a bad option for a non-work setting.

I promise to write some actual content for this blog soon.  I plan to do some serious DIYing stuff this weekend and with visitors and a party next weekend, I'm super busy.
