Weekend Recap

This weekend was BUSY!

Friday I had to go down to Joliet for a work meeting.  I got home at 4ish, so I had just enough time to walk Samson and then sit down to relax before meeting Brendan and Corey for the movie.

We went to see Skyfall - which was amazing!  I certainly haven't see all 23 Bond movies, but I've seen all the Daniel Craig movies and this one was definitely the best.

On Saturday, I was pretty lazy all day.  I tried to take a couple little naps to try and get my body back on a good sleep schedule.

On Saturday night, I was supposed to meet Brooke and another friend to get dinner and then see a concert at the Vic Theater.  So around 7, Brooke picked me up in a cab and we went down to the River North area to grab dinner at GT Fish & Oyster.  The place was packed, so we staked ourselves out at the bar and hovered over people until we got a few seats.  If you like oysters, this place was excellent!  We had a great time and ended up swinging by a random bar next door for a drink before our friend called it a night.

Not one to spoil the party, Brooke and I headed back up north to meet Brendan and his friends at a local bar.  And then completed the night by taking Brendan and Corey to our favorite 24-hour Mexican restaurant - El Presidente.

I gotta tell you - I am too old to be having mexican at 2:30am and going to bed at 4.  It killed me on Sunday.  So Sunday I went grocery shopping and did some cleaning, which were both things I avoided doing on Saturday.  Then, I walked Samson and got ready for my date.

Oh yeah... I had a date.  I'll recap that in a separate post.  :)
