It is officially April. And do you know what that means???
My conference at the end of the month (which I actually am looking forward to) AND one month until our girls' trip to Cabo!
This entire month is going to fly by.
This weekend I ran my longest training run so far, 4 miles. It was rough. I didn't have a good night's sleep the night before and because of the weather, I was running in sweats and a sweatshirt. I'm going to contribute both of these things to how difficult the run was. I finished, still at a good pace, but it was tough. I told Melissa that if I'm going to continue this running thing after the summer, I'm going to need to invest in legitimate running attire. Also, I need to purchase something that lets me carry water with me.
I sent an email to "he who shall not be named" on Saturday. I was irritated that he still had not given me any response to what he wanted to do with the house. I think I was very diplomatic in the email. I told him that I was frustrated that in 3 months, the only response I continue to get from him is that he's still looking into talking to people about options. I told him that he needed to make this a priority and that I have been very respectful in not bringing up lawyers again, but I will if I have to.
He finally wrote back late last night saying that I was right and he would make a priority this week and that he was sorry it took him all weekend to respond. We'll see how that goes. I hope he understand that this exact scenario is exactly why I do not want to own a rental property with him. How can he say he will assume the responsibilities when he isn't capable of following up promptly?
It amazes me that I let things like this go during our relationship, considering them "personality quirks".
This weekend will be my first weekend home alone in a while. The Hales clan is driving out to the midwest for a week to introduce Kayla to everyone. She will be able to meet her great-grandparents on her mother's side for the first time as well as numerous Aunts and Uncles and second cousins, etc. etc. I know she will be spoiled rotten by the time she comes back. As for me, I have big plans... Cleaning, laundry, errands. YEAH! :)
I'm still working out my outfit for my cousin's wedding (two weeks) and it's becoming increasingly stressful as it gets closer. This weekend is my "do or die" weekend. I have to find something to wear with my skirt or go with my back up outfit. Stay tuned!
On a related note, the dress I am wearing today has been hiding in my closet for quite a while. This dress has escaped multiple donation days because I was determined to wear it again. Thankfully, I put it on today and it fits the way it's supposed to! I typically wear it with bright colored shoes, but the weather still doesn't seem appropriate for that just yet - even though it's supposed to be 75 today.
*Dress - BGBG, necklace - gift, shoes - Nine west
Also, getting a haircut next week. It's about time, it's been close to five months. I've missed you Nina, get ready!
AWEsome dress. You look great!
