Today I head to Houston until Friday afternoon. Even though the dust has barely settled on our 2011 Conference, I'm off to the site for 2012 to get headfirst into planning. I'll be traveling with my coworker and boss for the next three days.
Three days of walking the convention center, visiting 5 hotels, a few offsite reception venues, a boot shop, and lots and lots of eating. It's amazing the kind of food they put in front of you on these trips. Everyone wants to offer you a meal. It's impossible to ever feel hungry. Surprisingly, we have a couple of free meals on this quick trip, so hopefully we can get a little quiet time in.
I'll have to post when I get back home on Friday evening. Brooke is supposed to be in town this weekend for work, so hopefully I'll get to see her.
