Savor Event

Saturday started with getting a few things done, including a 9.3 mile run (NO walking... I was so proud.  I'm back on track training wise).  In the evening, I showered and headed down to DC to meet Brooke for the night.

She was able to get me a ticket to their event, Savor Event.  It was basically a beer tasting event.  Dozens of breweries were there with 2-3 samples of their products.  All beverages were complimented with little bites to eat.  There were thousands of "beer people" there.  I met Brooke and a handful of her coworkers.  We had a good time walking around and tasting.  After that we went to Ben's Chili Bowl (by request of the out-of-towners) and then back to a bar near the Verizon Center.

It was a fun night and really good to see Brooke.  It's always interesting to see your friends in their work environment, and Saturday night did not disappoint. :)

Then on Sunday, I woke up, said goodbye to Brooke and drove down to VA to meet with a volleyball friend for brunch.  It ended up being a good weekend, though I could've used a bit more rest.

This week will be quiet at the house since it's just Justin, Samson and I.  Kayla and Melissa went to Chicago for the week to visit with my family.
